MIME-type files are those sent and received through browsers, servers and web clients. An octet-stream file may be any file format such as an.exe or.jpeg renamed during transmission from source to destination. If the file type is unknown and cannot be easily determined, ask the sender about the file type before attempting to rename the file.If an extension is properly renamed, the file should now open easily.
Another option is to open the appropriate program for the file type and attempt to open the file in the program without renaming the extension. Be sure to open the file in the appropriate application based on the file type. If still having trouble opening a file, request that the sender attempt to retransmit the file. Email or web clients are rarely able to open octet stream files, but may be able to determine the appropriate program to open the file. ![]() The test file contains a simple JSON which can be interpreted by my Azure Function. To avoid flooding of my trigger history I disable the logic app after each upload to inspect the run results. Maybe this is an exception because we uploaded only a single file Try again with two files at the same time. For me the property Number of blobs was somewhat misleading that the action would return an array. We can design the flow of the Logic App in such a way that the Logic App gets triggered for each new or modified blob separately. We were successful in getting the content of the blob which has triggered the Logic App. That error may be confusing at first because our file contains pure JSON data. A look at the content type reveals that the Logic App does not know that we handle JSON data, instead it says something of applicationoctet-stream, which is a binary data type. As we have already JSON data we can use the function json() to cast the data type to applicationjson. The template validation failed: The template action ProcessBlob2 at line 1 and column 43845 is not valid: The template language expression json(body(Getblobcontent)) is not valid: the string character at position 5 is not expected. Octet Stream Decode Trial And ErrorThe documentation does not say explicitly how to nest expressions (see ), but after some trial and error, we know, we just need to remove the nested expression wrapper and and leave everything else. You need to peek inside the code, as seen in the step before. Thats not nice to design, but its good enough to check our configuration.
